WHO I AM, WHERE I CAME FROM & WHY I CARE
My name is Kim, as you may well have already gathered, or perhaps we already know one another!
However you came upon my website, I am pleased you're here.
I'm a working class girl from Lancashire who spent her first 40 years on Earth living someone else's dream. When I realised I was not in love with my work in Law, I did something about it.
The trouble with social conditioning is, sometimes, we don't always see it in time to make any changes. If you are lucky enough to have realised it while there is still air in your lungs, do something about it. We owe that to ourselves.
I have never feared change, I have always embraced it, but even for me, THIS was a BIGGIE.
So, I enrolled myself on a marketing degree apprenticeship and set sail unto the previously unchattered waters of MATURE STUDENT LIFE.
ALAS, life has a habit of throwing me curveballs and just 6 months in - ENTER STAGE LEFT: CHOLECYSTITIS & CHOLANGITIS and ulltimately gallbladder removal. I then found out just a month after my operation, my mum had terminal cancer. Along with my siblings, I spent the next few months caring for my beautifu mum until she left this life.

WHY AM I SHARING THIS?
This for me was a heart-shattering epiphany: tomorrow isn't promised. I had been playing small, hiding, waiting until I was ready (when TF would that even be?) We only get one shot at this life and I suddenly realised I already knew what I needed to know to get started. I just needed to trust myself. I had worked for myself a few times, and even done marketing when I had worked at law firms with networking, blogs, articles, socials. I had even studied Graphic Design, and English. And I am still a professional singer - I KNOW about being visible and making yourself UNMISSABLE.
At this point, I had worked in marketing for a few years. I wasn't NEW to marketing. But even after 20 years studying and working as a lawyer, I still had no confidence to push myself in that field. The difference now is that I LOVE marketing and design, and I KNOW I can help lift others up and get them making BOLD MOVES in their businesses. The energy exchange is different, and I am here for it.
It was already wildly apparent to me that I was not made for working a 9 to 5. My health was failing and I knew it was unsustainable. I needed time freedom. The freedom to decide what I did and who I worked with. I needed time to factor in rest so I could transmute myself from worn out perimenopausal mother of 4 kids working her arse off for very little money to a happy woman, working at her own pace building a business and an empire that gives her a fire in her belly, joy in her heart, and the freedom to do the things she love: theatre, live music, travel, socialising. Things that would enable me to earn money and still be a happy person.
I am becoming. I am ready to start and to receive. That was all I ever needed.
